About John Michael Murphy
With a distinguished legal career spanning more than 25 years, I have earned a reputation throughout Southeastern Wisconsin for my sharp legal strategy, unwavering integrity, and steadfast dedication to my clients. As the founder of The Law Offices of John Michael Murphy, I believe that a person going through a legal crisis deserves an experienced champion. Throughout my decades of legal service, I have intentionally returned to a focused solo model to ensure that every individual, parent, and business owner receives my undivided attention and personal counsel.

Juris Doctor
Graduating Cum Laude from Marquette University in 2001, I excelled in litigation, advanced legal analysis, and legal writing. Earning CALI awards in legal ethics (Lawyer in American Society), and Pretrial Practice, I also clerked for the National Labor Relations Board.
Bachelor of Arts
Prior to law school, I completed my undergraduate studies at the University of Wisconsin-Parkside in 1996, graduating Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a minor in Spanish, and was awarded a coveted position of Wingspread Fellow.

Outside the Courtroom
A proud parent of three Elkhorn Area School District graduates, I spend the majority of my free time as my children’s biggest fan. Whether it is listening proudly to my eldest daughter as she performs with the Elkhorn Holton band or the Lake Geneva Symphony Orchestra, sitting courtside at a University of Oshkosh at my middle daughter’s tennis match, or rooting loudly from the bleachers of my son’s most recent lacrosse game, supporting these amazing kids is my top priority.
When I do get a moment to watch the pros, I am a dedicated fan of all Wisconsin teams, but have a particular soft spot for all things baseball. In fact, I have even been known to root for the Cubs, that is, as long as they aren’t facing the Brewers.
